Designed for modern metal players, the Nazgul 8-String Active Mount from Seymour Duncan is a passive bridge humbucker pickup with a black soapbar cover and an aggressively high output that sounds lively, yet completely controllable. The pickup features a large ceramic bar magnet and custom windings to deliver the perfect blend of note articulation, saturation, pick attack, and one of the most brutal "chugs" from a humbucker.
The sound is harmonically rich across the entire audio spectrum with an extremely tight bass response. The black soapbar cover has one row of exposed poles for a modern active look and is a quick retrofit into any guitar with an active rout. The pickup also features a nickel-silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance. Like all Seymour Duncan pickups, the Nazgul is carefully hand built in Santa Barbara, CA.
