  • BEAUTIFUL, POWERFUL SOUND SAMPLED FROM THE ACCLAIMED YAMAHA CFX CONCERT GRAND PIANO

The YDP-S35 models all feature a piano Voice sampled from Yamaha’s flagship CFX concert grand piano—a renowned instrument that delivers sparkling highs and a powerful resonant bass in a superbly expressive sound.

The YDP-S35 offers the same detailed sound—from the lower keys to the higher keys—full of clarity and rich harmonic color. It gives you extraordinary expressive power and nuance that authentically respond in both daily practice and emotion-filled performances.

  • AUTHENTIC ACOUSTIC PIANO PLAYABILITY AND HALF-DAMPER PEDAL CONTROL

With an 88-key GHS (Graded Hammer Standard) keyboard, the YDP-S35 reproduces the touch of an acoustic piano—naturally heavy in the lower keys and lighter in the upper octaves. GHS provides grand-piano-style response for rapid note repetition and nuanced control. A half-damper feature authentically replicates grand-piano pedal behavior for rich expressive variation.

  • HARMONIC RESONANCE LIKE THAT OF A GRAND PIANO — VIRTUAL RESONANCE MODELING LITE (VRM LITE)

VRM Lite elaborately reproduces the grand piano’s sympathetic resonance, simulating complex tones created when string vibrations propagate to the soundboard and other strings, dynamically responding to your playing and pedaling.

  • RICH VARIETY OF BUILT-IN SONGS & INTUITIVE SMART PIANIST APP CONTROL

Beyond its authentic grand-piano Voice, the YDP-S35 offers 10 instrument Voices—including electric piano, organ, vibraphone, and strings—plus 353 built-in songs (50 classics and 303 practice pieces by Beyer, Burgmüller, Czerny, and Hanon).

Connect Yamaha’s free Smart Pianist app* to intuitively select Voices, view scores for built-in songs, and explore a comprehensive Piano Room for tonal customization.

*Cable connection required. Purchase the correct cable for your smart device.

  • FEATURES FOR GREATER LISTENING COMFORT WITH HEADPHONES

New technology optimizes sound balance according to the volume you set, delivering a natural, ear-friendly sound—even during long practice sessions. The Stereophonic Optimizer recreates the spacious sensation of sitting at an acoustic grand piano while using headphones.

  • SLIM, STYLISH DESIGN ALLOWS FOR NEAT INSTALLATION

The slim cabinet depth lets you install the piano neatly in any room, while its chic design effortlessly enhances your living space. Closing the keyboard lid gives the instrument a flat, unassuming look.

  • LIMITING THE MAXIMUM VOLUME

A new Volume Limiter function lets you set a fixed maximum volume level, protecting your hearing whether you’re using speakers or headphones.

  • RECORD AND PLAY BACK YOUR PERFORMANCES

Record your performances to review later, or record one hand and practice the other while listening back. You can also record two parts separately—left and right hand, or two Voices in succession—to create complete arrangements.

  • PLAY ALONG WITH A PARTNER — IN THE SAME OCTAVE

The Duo Mode splits the keyboard into two equal ranges, allowing two players to play the same piano sound and octave side-by-side—ideal for lessons and practice with a partner.
