SRT Powered is a system designed to recreate the body resonance of an acoustic guitar in a bodiless instrument. Developed in collaboration with recording artists and tailored to the unique properties of the SLG, it’s modeled after the tone of a high-end Yamaha acoustic captured with a carefully selected microphone in a professional studio. By reproducing the natural sustain and decay of a real acoustic, SRT lets guitarists experience authentic body resonance, body tone, and ambience. You can also blend SRT Powered sound with the instrument’s piezo pickups for even greater creative flexibility. Because SLG can virtually reproduce the sound of a miked acoustic guitar, players can skip the complex setup typically required for miking when recording at home or elsewhere.
Portability
The detachable top section of the SLG’s frame makes it far more practical and portable than a conventional guitar. The included luxury gig bag carries easily and fits into most aircraft overhead compartments with room to spare.
Playability
The slim body delivers superb playability and makes it easy for players to switch to electric guitar without discomfort.
Design
Created with the Yamaha Design Laboratory, SLG combines classic guitar lines with a modern, distinctive form unlike any guitar before it.
Quietness
The bodiless design offers a naturally quiet sound, ideal for late-night practice or living-room sessions without disturbing others. The SLG200N is approximately ninety percent quieter than a conventional classical guitar.
Durability & Stability
A solid body structure provides excellent durability for live use and travel. Both steel-string and nylon-string models include a dual-action truss rod for precise neck relief adjustment in either direction.
Functionality
Connect an external music player for playback, enhance your tone with built-in effects, or plug in headphones for private practice. SLG models also include a precision chromatic tuner, support for battery or AC power, and other player-friendly features.

Except as noted below, we do not accept returns or exchanges under any circumstance. -
Defective or Damaged Instruments
We stand behind every instrument we sell. If your instrument arrives with a manufacturer defect or is damaged in transit (e.g., a broken pickup on an electric guitar), please contact us immediately.
Eligibility:
- The defect / damage must be reported within 7 days of delivery.
- You must provide clear photographs or video showing the issue.
Submission of photos or video alone does not guarantee a return or repair. All claims are subject to a physical inspection by our certified technician.
Process:
- Email support@solschoolofmusic.ca with your order number, a description of the problem, and the visual evidence.
- We’ll review and, if preliminarily approved, issue a prepaid shipping label.
- Ship the instrument back to us for inspection.
- After inspection:
- If approved, we’ll repair the instrument at no cost or replace it with an equivalent model (subject to availability).
- If not approved, the instrument will be returned to you unrepaired and return shipping will be charged to you.

Repairs & Maintenance
Beyond initial defects, we offer ongoing string replacement and repair services for Tar and Setar. These services follow our standard repair rates and turnaround times. -
Non-Defective Instruments
Instruments that are undamaged and functioning as intended—regardless of buyer’s remorse or change of mind—are not eligible for return, exchange, refund, or credit. -
