Yamaha - CPX600 Acoustic Electric Guitar
Yamaha CPX600
Combining APX-series playability and clear, dynamic stage tone with a larger body for classic looks and a fuller, louder acoustic voice—an ideal balance of plugged-in performance and acoustic style.
- Grand Auditorium cutaway-style body for full-bodied acoustic tone
- 634 mm scale length for enhanced comfort
- Narrower string spacing makes chord stretches easier
- New bracing pattern for a tighter, more focused tone
- Stage-focused pickup sound designed to cut through the mix
Body Depth & Bracing
The medium-jumbo CPX body delivers an open, modern tone with powerful, rich low-end, smooth, delicate highs, and sweet, open mids. Non-scalloped X-type bracing ensures a strong, rich acoustic tone that stays clear and well-defined on stage.
CPX Soundhole
CPX’s conventional round soundhole focuses the midrange while controlling bass for a direct, powerful sound.
Electric System: SRT (CPX1200II & CPX1000)
Using advanced Digital Signal Processing and professional recording insights, Yamaha’s SRT pickup and preamp system delivers a natural, studio-quality acoustic tone. SRT recreates the subtle ambience of a real mic’d guitar, capturing EQ voicing and resonances of premium vintage microphones and spaces, resulting in an incredibly realistic acoustic character on stage or in the studio.
Electric System: ART (CPX700II)
The ART pickup uses a multilayer structure of six different materials. Mounted directly beneath the top board, it captures sound from the guitar’s top and the air inside the body, faithfully reproducing the instrument’s natural resonance.
Electric System: Piezo (CPX600)
This pickup uses individual elements for each string to produce an ultra-clear, ultra-wide bandwidth signal with exceptional dynamic response and tonal accuracy compared to a regular piezo pickup.
