A SERIES — THE NEXT LEVEL

Designed to be the ideal performance acoustic guitar, the Yamaha A Series is crafted from the ground up for life on the road. Expect a natural, dynamic plugged-in tone and stage-ready simplicity from the new SRT2 pickup system; played-in comfort out of the box thanks to hand-rolled fingerboard edges on a straight-taper neck; and a custom scalloped bracing pattern that unlocks a powerful, expressive acoustic voice—backed by Yamaha’s legendary road-ready construction.

SRT2 Electronics

  • Mix piezo “cut” with vintage-mic warmth to taste.
  • Two selectable mic types to suit your style and song.
  • Available on A5 and A3 models.

Powerful Acoustic Sound

A new A Series voice emphasizes stronger low-mid presence, informed by Yamaha R&D’s acoustic analysis. A custom scalloped top bracing and shorter back bracing enhance projection and harmonic richness.

Select models (A5/A3) feature Yamaha’s A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) top treatment for a rich, “played-in” vintage character from day one.

High-Comfort Neck Profile

  • Straighter neck taper for easier high-fret access.
  • Hand-rolled fingerboard edges for an instantly “broken-in” feel.
  • Designed with input from players, luthiers, and techs.

A5 Grade — Flagship, Made in Japan

  • Premium binding (head & body) and Gotoh open-gear tuners.
  • SRT2 system delivers mix-ready piezo or mic’d studio character.
  • Built for professional accuracy, reliability, and tone.
