he zebra SH-1B '59 Bridge from Seymour Duncan is a PAF-style humbucking pickup that delivers old-school tonal character, but with a brighter top end, scooped mids, and a more compressed sound. The pickup's vintage-style coils are ideal for all types of rock and blues music, and preserve the airy quality of an original PAF.

Modern enhancements such as the alnico 5 bar magnet and vacuum wax potting have been added to make it more compatible with lighter-gauge guitar strings and louder, high-gain amplifiers that were not available in the '50s. However, the '59 Model does retain a variety of traditional vintage treatments such as 42 AWG plain enamel mag wire, a long-legged nickel-silver bottom plate, and a vintage single-conductor braided push-back lead wire.

As with all Seymour Duncan PAF-style pickups, the '59 Model is carefully hand-built in Santa Barbara, CA, wound on Seymour's old Leesona winding machine from the early Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, MI.
