It is a feature-packed instrument that immediately draws attention with its slotted headstock and neck that joins the body at the 12th fret. Designed with fingerstyle players in mind, the U581T has a wider fretboard providing the easy access and movement often associated with that style of playing. The graphite top features unidirectional carbon-fiber construction and is complemented by spalted maple epaulettes. The body is Lyrachord®, mid-depth and surrounded by curly maple binding. The breakthrough iDea® Keyhole Bridge™ offers a variety of benefits. It is pinless, like all Ovation bridges, but the strings anchor inside the body to a patent-pending, graphite reinforcement plate under the bridge. This bridge system provides a noticeably increased level of sustain and clarity. The electronics are a straight forward with an active direct out, making it completely ready for any performance venue. A roadworthy molded case is included.
